A helicopter crashed in Pune due to strong winds and bad weather on Saturday. The helicopter was carrying a total of four people, including the captain.
The chopper, an AW 139, took off from Juhu in Mumbai and was going to Hyderabad when it crashed in the Paud area. The captain, Anand, was injured in the incident and has been taken to Sadar Hospital for treatment.
The chopper was operated by Global Vectra Helicorp.
Back in May, a private helicopter which was flying to pick up Shiv Sena Deputy Leader Sushma Andhare, had suddenly crashed on landing at Mahad town in Raigad, Maharashtra. The pilot of the chopper managed to jump off before the crash and survived.
